A NIGHT OF HOUSE MUSIC 89-96
Saturday July 26th Chute Bar Ashton
The “Night of House Music” project at CHUTE puts the focus firmly on those that were there on the dancefloor and at the controls of the cultural explosion that rocked and continues to shape dance music today.
Each event will highlight DJ’s and artists that brought their own individual influences to an era that is now part of Manchester’s heritage.
Dave Law owned the booth on Whitworth Street and he brought a unique killer sound that blended the underground releases from the states along with a deep style that he still carries to this day.
Dave Haslam needs no introduction….
He took Whitworth street by the scruff of its neck and when he moved on to create his own YELLOW nights at the boardwalk around the corner , he created a night that would not only challenge Whitworth street but at times , his music policy nailed it shut.
The ques around the block proved it.
For years.
Brett Smithson has been a DJ in and around Manchester since the year dot.
Never fitting into a genre or style , his HYPE/drive Music project is a representation of his unwillingness to fit in and continually push musical boundaries.
Chutes “Night of House Music” is not an old school night.
It’s an opportunity to experience 3 incredible DJ’s taking a retrospective dive into their careers in an intimate environment that promises to bring some incredible music back to life.
The last event was packed, discounted earlybird tickets available now via this link>> https://www.skiddle.com/e/40680202
