Sunday Night Rhythm
MYSD is a Brighton-based DJ known for delivering driving, high-impact house sets built for real dancefloors. Her sound is functional, fierce, and deeply physical powered by rolling basslines, long blends, and a relentless groove that locks rooms into motion. High-energy selections, emotional lifts, and moments create sets that feel both raw and euphoric.
A natural storyteller behind the decks, MYSD crafts journeys rather than playlists where pressure builds slowly, tension is earned, and release feels collective. Her sets balance weight and lift: deep low-end meets hands-in-the-air energy, always rooted in connection, movement, and shared experience.
Her background as a performance artist, theatre director, and dramatherapist shapes a uniquely embodied approach to DJing. Dancefloor psychology, crowd awareness, and emotional flow are central to her style creating spaces that feel safe, inclusive, and alive.
Emerging during the pandemic as a unifying force in her local scene, MYSD quickly built a loyal following through authenticity, presence, and a clear musical identity. Her sets reflect the spirit of the late ’80s free party movement. Freedom, diversity and unity channelled through a modern house music lens.
With over 35 years immersed in dance culture as a raver, promoter, and DJ, her selections blend jackin’ house, soulful pressure, and euphoric builds into relentless, body-driven grooves.
As co-founder of 4ToTheFloor, Brighton’s renowned underground house collective, MYSD plays a key role in building a community rooted in love, inclusivity, and dancefloor integrity delivering consistently sold-out events with a strong grassroots ethos.
Her sets have featured at festivals including Shambala and Boomtown, and she has shared line-ups with artists such as BUSHWACKA! and Grant Nelson. She has proudly promoted Jackin’ house heavyweight Angelo Ferreri for Brighton’s Music Conference, raising funds for Last Night A DJ Saved My Life.
Closing 2025 strong, MYSD promoted Earth N Days’ UK debut, continuing her commitment to platforming meaningful, forward-thinking artists. Alongside this, she hosts a monthly radio show on D3EP Radio, extending her dancefloor ethos into the airwaves and connecting with a wider underground community.
2026 is already heating up, with two new radio shows in the making, summer residencies, and a growing run of festival bookings marking the next chapter in a fast-rising trajectory built on integrity, community, and real dancefloor culture.
